UPDATE (10/05/10): This website is now inactive but has been left in my portfolio as it is one for the largest database driven websites I produced to date.
The DeliStation is a small Delicatessen based just outside London, they provide Italian produce and related products. They felt it was time to branch out into the world of on-line commerce.
The site itself is one of the largest I have ever produced, and as such provided many challenges that I hadn't come across before.
From left to right: The first image shows the splash screen that the customers are shown, they then choose whether they are trade or retail customers. By selecting different areas it shows a different set of products.
The second image shows the product pages, these consists of an enlarged image of the product and any other details of the product that are needed.
The third image is of the shopping cart. This page allows users to change the amount of the product that they require.
The fourth image shows the order summary. This area is designed to allow the customer to view the final details of their order and the billing address, it is the last chance to change things before proceeding to the payment service.
The fifth image shows the view the customer sees on searching for a specific term. In this case lemon.
The last image shows the general layout of the header, this shows the cart as a product is added. You may also notice the "switch to trade" link which is a quick link allowing customers to switch between areas of the site.
The site uses a large database and content management system to allow the owner to update and maintain the website.
The website also links to the RBS Worldpay system allowing credit cards to be used in the payment process.
