Muzzy United is a 5-a-side team in the Powerleague at Wigan Soccerdome. They play each Wednesday and keep track of their results and stats using this website.
I was approached to make a website that the lads playing in the team could go to and find out their own stats and compare them with the other players stats. They also required an area allowing them to view past fixtures and future fixtures.
From left to right: The first picture shows the home screen, navigation is displayed at the top with the message board on the bottom left of the page and the upcoming fixtures shown on the left. All these areas appear in all pages which allows a quick reference for visitors. On the home page there is also the area to show the current form and current position in the league and the league table.
The second picture shows the fixtures area. The table you see allows a quick reference of the fixtures, this is updated by the team captain each week.
The third image shows the archive, this area allows players who visit the site to view the past results of the team. It shows previous fixture results, the top 5 goalscorers and the final weeks league table.
The final picture shows the message post area, once a user is logged in they can then add their own message.
The website is complex as it contains many functions. It is completely database driven and almost every page is editable by a specialised content management system.
